Christo

Director

Building for 15 years specialising in custom design homes and architectural builds.

I was raised in the Northern Rivers, neighbouring the Nightcap National Park. From an early age, I fostered a love for construction, while working on a citrus farm, always building things during my childhood. Though I initially pursued an environmental engineering degree, my passion for hands-on work drew me back to the familial trade under my uncle’s guidance, where he took me on board as an apprentice.

Building from my Uncle’s wealth of knowledge and further trade work, I looked to broaden my experiences. From here, I was fortunate enough to move overseas to live and work, mainly in the European and Canadian Alps, where I refined my carpentry skills (as well as my snowboarding).

While in the French Alps for multiple ski seasons, I was fortunate enough to throw on my tool belt and work on some amazing renovations and fit-outs such as a 100-year-old French Chalet. After returning, I resumed my passion for renovating and restoring Queenslanders, eventually leading to establishing a successful business in Brisbane specialising in crafting high-end Queenslanders and Architectural Custom Homes.

My life took a wonderful turn when I met my beautiful partner, Paula, at a Halloween party with friends. As we looked towards starting a family, Paula and I felt compelled to return to the tranquility of the Northern Rivers, to provide our children with the same upbringing that I cherished. You’ll find our family fishing in the Brunswick River, hiking the border ranges, or watching a sunset on Cabarita headland with friends.

Drawing from my experience in the industry, my overall goal is to combine my passions for supporting vibrant local communities and upholding quality craftsmanship. This involves providing a supportive learning and working environment for my staff, while ensuring that my clients receive a consistently positive and fulfilling experience. And perhaps, every now and then indulging in a quick ski trip!

Mark was born and raised in the hinterland behind Cabarita.
